Description
Not every bedsheet needs to be premium. The Polycotton Daily Bedsheet is our answer to the everyday need — a reliable, easy-to-maintain sheet set that looks good, washes well, and costs less than a pizza dinner for two. This is the set you put on the kids’ beds, the hostel room, the spare bedroom, or the guest mattress you pull out twice a year.
Why Polycotton?
Polycotton is a blend of polyester and cotton — typically 65/35 or 60/40 in favour of polyester. The polyester provides wrinkle resistance, quick drying, colour retention, and structural durability. The cotton provides breathability, moisture absorption, and a natural feel against the skin. Together, they produce a fabric that is genuinely wash-and-wear — pull it out of the machine, shake it flat, and it looks presentable without ironing.
Practical Advantages
Polycotton dries in half the time of pure cotton — a real advantage during monsoon season when nothing seems to dry. It resists pilling, shrinking, and colour fading better than pure cotton. It is the most budget-friendly fabric in our range, making it practical for large households, rental properties, PG accommodations, hostels, and hospitals where bedsheets need to be replaced more frequently.
Specifications
Thread count: 180TC (percale weave). GSM: 110 — lightweight and breathable. Composition: 65% polyester, 35% cotton. Size: 90×100 inches flat sheet + 2 pillow covers (17×27 inches). All prints are reactive-dyed. Multiple patterns available in every shipment.
Honest Limitations
Polycotton does not breathe as well as pure cotton — in very hot, non-AC rooms, you may notice the difference. It does not soften with age the way cotton or linen does. And it does not have the visual luxury of satin or the artisanal character of mulmul. But it does what it promises: it is affordable, durable, easy to maintain, and always looks clean. Sometimes that is exactly what you need.
Care
Machine wash on any cycle, warm or cold. Tumble dry on any setting. Minimal ironing needed. Resists shrinking. This is genuinely the lowest-maintenance fabric in our entire range. Expected lifespan: 2-3 years of daily use, which is excellent at this price point.
