Description
The Cambric Crisp Bedsheet is for people who like their bedding structured, smooth, and hotel-sharp. Cambric is a tightly woven cotton with a naturally crisp finish — it holds its shape, takes an iron beautifully, and gives your bed the clean, tailored look of a well-made hotel room.
What Is Cambric?
Cambric is a closely woven cotton fabric, originally from Cambrai in France. It is characterised by a smooth, flat surface and a slight stiffness that softens gradually with washing. Unlike regular cotton (which starts soft and stays soft), cambric starts crisp and becomes softer over time — but it never loses its structure. This is the fabric of choice for premium dress shirts, fine handkerchiefs, and bedsheets where a clean, tailored appearance matters.
Specifications
Thread count: 220TC (percale weave). GSM: 160 — mid-weight, suitable for year-round use. Composition: 100% cotton cambric. Size: 90×100 inches flat sheet with 2 pillow covers (17×27 inches, envelope closure). All prints are reactive-dyed. AZO-free dyes. GOTS-certified cotton source.
Who It Is For
People who make their bed every morning and want it to look sharp all day. Guest rooms where first impressions matter. Hotels and serviced apartments that need bedding to photograph well. Anyone who irons their bedsheets (or would like a fabric that holds an iron well). Also excellent for cooler climates — the dense weave provides more warmth than lighter cotton sheets.
Care
Machine wash cold or warm (up to 40°C). Cambric handles slightly warmer water better than mulmul. Tumble dry on medium. Iron on medium-high heat for the full crisp effect. The fabric is durable — expect 4-5 years of regular use with weekly washing. Cambric pills less than regular cotton because of its tight weave structure.
